pure chance? Light, leaves and imagination create an image on a tree. Days later when i returned to this spot the image was gone...
Anyway a detail of this image is used as the new background for this blog.

i had this image on my harddisk for a while but i had no title for it. Till a couple of days ago when i heard this old Cuby and the Blizzards tune "Another day another road" on the radio. So here is the image my mind connected with that tune.

Saturday may 5. Liberation day, great weather, great music in Museum Cafe. I really enjoyed the refreshing cross over between latin american folk songs and jazz brought by this quartet. Susanne Alt (saxophone), Nano Stern (guitar), Daniel Gueli (bass) and Philippe Lemm (drums).

queensday 2007

each year the celebration of queensday is a glorious event. April 30 2007 was even more glorious! The weather was great, so approximately 500.000 people visited Amsterdam to get drunk, dance and eat (not necessary in that order). What I recall from all this madness is this old lady, dressed in royal orange, ready to party.
