i like to stress the limits of my camera. In low light conditions I crank up the ISO value of the image sensor to the highest level. The diaphragm opening is kept as small as possible in combination with a shutter speed that allows me to shoot without a tripod. The initial result is an almost black image. Next the image is processed in Photoshop. By raising the output levels the image is revealed, including the noise generated by the image sensor chip. Of course this only makes sense if the noise in the image has a function like adding to the atmosphere of the image.
Anyway I have to say that my new Nikon D80 generates a filtered type of noise (pink noise) while my old Nikon generates a more random noise pattern. So yeah maybe I'll bring my old Nikon next time. This image was shot at P/////akt-Plug-in

1/f (pink) noise is the absolute source of complexity and creativity
it's the buffer that separates order from chaos
