2 weeks ago I visited this exhibition at Horse Move Project Space. Jon van der Putten died in 2005. The paintings on exhibit come from private collections of his friends.

kim habers <> non virtual reality

last saturday i visited P/////AKT "De Belofte". This drawing by Kim Habers attracted me like a magnet. Kim told me "This is the era of non-tangible virtual worlds. I want to create physical real worlds. Without technological means. Like a non virtual reality."

To me this huge drawing works like a fractal function. If you zoom in you get more detail. Even though it's a "non virtual reality" the best way (to my humble opinion)to display the fractality of this work on the internet is to use some digital voodoo. So here is a sequence of photo's, zooming in on the drawing. If you click on the image you'll get an enlarged sequence.

panos mitsopoulos

Dec 23 last 2006 at P/////akt-Plug-In I photographed an artwork I nicknamed "frozen in amber". I did not know the name of the artist at that time. Now I know it is Panos Mitsopoulos and the piece is called "balancerend figuur op schommel".

I appreciate this piece of art very much, so I have been using a black and grey image of this work as a background for my blog since februari. I got in touch with Panos as I
photographed him while he was building his installation in metro-station Wibautstraat.

at this cross i stand
